Where am i now?

March 8, 2005 i started my long journey home from LA land and found myself back in the spacious and luscious Pac NW town of Seattle! Boy did i miss it! I jumped back in the car after being in LA for a week and a half of Bob’s Big Boy, In N’ Out Burger, traffic and otherwise… good times!

9am - I packed up the regular travel goods, clothing, tooth brush, cd’s etc… and not to mention an overdose of Chewy Granola bars & the usual Red Bull supply.

Oh, and FYI to anyone who is on the road as much as me… you can park in Best Westerns parking lot and sneak free wireless internet. good times!

By exit 148 i was still charging the Southern Oregon hills with a vengence and was delighted to find a charming, yet expensive Chevron station for a nice break in the trip… and oh yes, in Oregon apparently they hire cute boys to service tired road trippers…. he was adorable and friendly, but he lost some points when he cleaned my windshield! I was trying to see how far i could get from LA w/o clearing all the bugs off~ oh well, it was safer that way.

12:45am - Home sweet home!

So i’m still down kickin’ it in LA… i’ve got a nice daily commute from the valley to Hollywood. This morning it took me a good hour to hour and a half to get in here! For you Seattle-ites, that be like Downtown to Renton i suppose, and for Portlanders, it’d be like Ridgefield to Portland. Seriously though, freak out people… oh no, rain!

Last night was an epic evening though… i got together with some friends and went to THE Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank! What a treat…. big fat greasy burgers and a monster strawberry milkshake! i certainly needed it after what has turned out to be a pretty crazy work week! I’ll have to post the pics when i get a chance~

Well, its Friday afternoon, and i think im pretty much spent… i’m going to head out and do some digital camera shopping! Any recommendations on where to get a good deal?

For the love of god, why rain when im down here!!??

Wednesday, February 23rd it went down!

The fabulous ladies with Mamafest (www.mamafest.org) through a pretty sick party at Chop Suey in the heart of Seattle! I was down there shooting for their doc project i’m working on and there to support the cause! Food, drinks and an amazing lineup and i was out for the count! Some bands i’d seriously encourage you all to check out are Senate Arcade and KUMA…. Kuma was the fantastic and i think you can find their CD at www.cdbaby.com if you really like them!

The pre party was insane, so i’m telling you, Mamafest @ Summit at Snoqualmie on the 19th of March of 2005 is gonna be good times for sure!

So i decided to do a blog~
not sure how long this will last, but it might be kind of fun?! i feel like doogie howser!

How does this blog work anyhow? do i just write when i feel like it?

Last Thursday… the 24th of February I loaded my 2003 Ford Ranger Edge w/ all my favorite personal belongings and decided to hit the road and headed south. I actually had decided that i was going to LA quite awhile ago, but the 24th was the day of departure~

So my genius friend Richard from LA has a video production company… and he is out of town and needed someoneto manage his projects while he’s gone… so i figured i’d come down, help out, and
hang out w/ some old friends while i’m down.

I’m working at the world famous Record Plant in Hollywood… www.recordplant.com…
Richard is the video department for the Plant…. since being there so far, The Black Eyed
Peas, Kanye West and Heavy D have rolled into the place… can’t wait till Maroon 5 comes in!!
: P Not really, but its kind of neat to see this side of the record industry~

I’m staying w/ my good friend Laura out here in the Valley…. good times! My plan is to try
and ride Mammoth mt. on the way back to seattle, and hit up my good buddy Willy on in San
Fran as well~
